Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 12, 2026

This policy explains what personal information Robert Sortep (“I,” “me,” “my”) collects when you visit robertsortep.com or buy from my shop, how I use it, and what choices you have. I am the person responsible for your information (the “data controller”) and you can reach me at shop@robertsortep.com.

What I collect
When you place an order, I collect your name, billing and shipping address, email address, phone number if you provide one, and the contents of your order. When you browse the site, I automatically receive technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device, and the pages you visit. If you sign up for my email list, I collect your email address. If you contact me, I keep whatever you send me.

How I use it, and why
I use your information to process and ship your order, send order confirmations and shipping updates, handle returns and questions, keep the site secure, meet tax and accounting requirements, and understand how visitors use the site so I can improve it. If you join my email list, I use your email address to send you your discount code and updates about upcoming discounts, announcements, and new products. If you are in the EU or UK, the legal bases I rely on are as follows. I use your order information because it is needed to fulfill your contract with me and to meet my legal obligations. I send marketing emails and use non essential cookies and analytics only with your consent. I also have a legitimate interest in keeping the site secure and preventing fraud.

Email list and consent
I only send marketing emails to people who sign up for them. When you enter your email in the signup form, you are agreeing to receive your welcome discount and future updates from me. You can withdraw that consent at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email or by writing to shop@robertsortep.com, and I will remove you promptly. Unsubscribing from marketing does not stop order related messages about purchases you’ve made.

Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe and PayPal. Your card or account details are entered into their secure payment forms and handled by them. I never see or store your full card number. Each provider has its own privacy policy explaining how it handles your information.

Services I use
To run the shop I rely on a few outside services, which only receive the information they need to do their job. These include Hostinger for my website hosting, WordPress and WooCommerce to run the shop, CartFlows for checkout, Stripe and PayPal for payments, MailerLite for email, Google Analytics for site statistics, and shipping carriers such as USPS who receive your name and address so your order can be delivered. Once you leave my site through a link, this policy no longer applies, and I encourage you to read the privacy policy of any site you visit.

Cookies and analytics
My site uses cookies, which are small files stored on your device. Some are strictly necessary for the shop to work, such as remembering what is in your cart. I also use Google Analytics, which uses cookies to show me how visitors find and use the site, including pages viewed and general location. This information is collected in aggregate and I use it only to improve the site. Where required by law, analytics and other non essential cookies are only set after you accept them in the cookie banner, and you can change your choice at any time. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though the cart and checkout may not work properly without the necessary ones. You can opt out of Google Analytics using Google’s browser add on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

International transfers
I am based in the United States, and some of my service providers are located in the US or other countries. If you are in the EU or UK, your information may be transferred to and processed outside your country. Where this happens, I rely on safeguards such as the providers’ standard contractual clauses or their participation in recognized data transfer frameworks.

How long I keep information
I keep order records for as long as needed for tax, accounting, and legal reasons, which is typically several years. I keep email list information until you unsubscribe or ask me to delete it. Analytics data is kept for the period set in my Google Analytics settings.

Security
I take reasonable steps to protect your information, including using a secure connection (SSL) on the site. No method of sending or storing data online is completely secure, so I can’t guarantee absolute security.

Your rights
You can ask to access the personal information I hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted, subject to records I’m required to keep. If you are in the EU or UK, you can also ask me to restrict or stop certain uses of your information, receive a copy of your data in a portable format, object to processing based on my legitimate interests, and withdraw your consent at any time. If you are a California resident, you have similar rights to know about and delete your information, and I do not sell your personal information. To make a request, email shop@robertsortep.com. If you are in the EU or UK and are unhappy with how I handle your information, you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

Children
This site is not meant for children under 16, and I don’t knowingly collect their information. If you are under the age of majority where you live, please have a parent or guardian make purchases for you.

Changes
I may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed, and changes take effect once they are posted here. If the shop is ever sold or transferred, your information may be passed to the new owner so orders and service can continue.
